iPulse offers a high level of customisation without affecting system performance by graphically displaying key computer performance metrics on the desktop, menu bar, or Dock.
Characteristics:
- The entire collection of system sensors
- The application tracks a variety of indications:
- Processor (CPU): GPU and VRAM utilisation, system load over time, and core load (including efficiency and performance cores on Apple Silicon).
- Memory: Cache, compressed memory, system memory, and application memory.
- Network: connection activity and incoming/outgoing traffic.
- Disc: APFS compatibility and disc space utilisation.
- Battery and wireless: Wi-Fi signal strength, external uninterruptible power supply (UPS) data, battery health, and charge level.
- Date and time: Show the current time.
Adaptable user interface:
- Ten built-in design presets are available in iPulse for easy customisation to your requirements.
- You are able to make and store your own skins. The Iconfactory website offers new themes for download.
- The interface looks great on Retina screens, has numerical indications, and may be shown as a small pie or line graph.
- Windows can be incorporated into the Dock, minimised to the menu bar, or positioned on the desktop.
- Intelligent alerts and communications
- iPulse can emit alarms when customisable thresholds—like a high CPU load or a low battery—are exceeded.
- System hot keys can be used to reveal and conceal Windows.
