Pulsar Modular’s innovative sound-transforming tool, ZORBA, gives music movement, depth, and a distinctive texture.
The plugin functions similarly to a “live filter” by subtly altering the timbre of the audio and producing shimmering, undulating, and shimmering effects that are evocative of light or the wind. Instead of being static, the sound is always changing and breathing.
It employs straightforward controls and a visual panel that clearly illustrates how the sound is evolving in place of intricate graphs and technical factors. Finding the ideal mood is simple because you can adjust the effect’s depth, pace, and type of changes.
With Pulsar Modular ZORBA, you may turn common percussion, synths, or vocals into an expressive accent, a fantasy effect, or an ambient layer.
Without delving extensively into the technical aspects of sound design, the tool enables you to swiftly uncover inspiration and give your songs personality and depth.
Sound Generation and Core Architecture
- Three oscillators (VCOs): Saw to Square, Triangle, and Sine are the two main VCOs with continuous waveform morphing. With its own tuning and filter routing, the third VCO functions as a completely independent sub-oscillator that drops one octave.
- Four different types of noise (WHT, PINK, ETHER, and FRAY) have their own high-pass and low-pass filters in the Independent Noise Path.
- FM capabilities include X-MOD (cross-modulation) and linear modulation, with VCO2 serving as the modulator for intricate timbres like brass and bells.
