The distinctive chain plugin Vynl Audio Voyager was inspired by the well-known guitar sound of independent musician Mk. Gee. In order to create a single, practical instrument, the engineers meticulously examined his effects chain and integrated uncommon analogue instruments from earlier times.
Voyager is a flexible creative processor while being guitar-based. From synths and keyboards to vocals and drums, all four modules were created from the ground up to give each piece of music a distinctive, ethereal, and slightly nostalgic tone.

Vynl Audio Voyager Features:
- The Voyager-424 module, which was influenced by the Tascam 424. The iconic four-track cassette portastudio served as the inspiration for this saturation section. It adds a natural tape compression and a smooth analogue warmth when used sparingly. Overdriven magnetic tape produces rich harmonic distortion, which softens percussion and causes the signal to musically degrade.
- The Roland VG-8 served as the model for the Voyager-8 module. The “Bowed Pad” preset of a rare guitar processor from 1995 served as the inspiration for this unusual synth block. This method adds a long, growing sustain and smoothes out the attack, entirely changing the original signal. It transforms a common instrument into something in between a vintage space pad synth and a dramatic string ensemble.
- Voyager-Verb Space. A rich analogue character in a creative reverb. The sense of an excessively synthetic sterility is eliminated as the reverb tail gradually saturates and decays, giving the room a palpable, tactile warmth and a little dirtiness.
- Voyager-Mod modulation. Tuned to mirror studio units from the 1980s, this hybrid chorus and flanger module produces a wide, shimmering, deep movement that sounds more like an expensive vintage outboard than a basic guitar pedal.
